A Peaceful Day in Pokhara

🌄 A Peaceful Day in Pokhara

Written by: SK Dhungana | June 2025

Pokhara, a city nestled beside the Phewa Lake and under the shadow of the Annapurna range, offers an experience of peace and thrill in one. I spent a day here exploring lakes, mountains, and local cafes — and here’s how it went.

🛶 Morning: Boating in Phewa Lake

Boating in Phewa

Started the morning with a peaceful boat ride. The reflection of the Machhapuchhre peak on the water was magical. Even with the light mist, the scenery was breathtaking.

☕ Afternoon: Coffee at a Lakeside Café

Cafe

After the ride, I walked along Lakeside and found a cozy little café named “Mountain Brews.” Ordered a cappuccino and enjoyed the view. The café had stable Wi-Fi too — perfect for digital nomads.

“Sometimes, the best therapy is a cup of coffee with a lake view.”

🌄 Evening: World Peace Pagoda Sunset

Peace Pagoda

Hiked up to the World Peace Pagoda around 5 PM. The view of the valley below and the golden sunset over the lake made it the perfect ending to a peaceful day.

📌 Summary of the Day

  • 🌊 Morning Boating – Peaceful & Photogenic
  • ☕ Afternoon Café – Chill & Creative Spot
  • 🌅 Sunset View – Must-not-miss moment

If you're ever in Nepal, make sure Pokhara is on your list. Whether you’re into photography, meditation, or mountain views — this city has something for everyone.
